As a child I was always fascinated with cemeteries and during my 28 year career as a deputy sheriff that continued. Now that I'm almost fully retired, I find myself being interested in genealogy but not obsessed with it.
History is made every day and only will be remembered if someone chooses to do so. When I was born in 1946 the world population was about 2.5 billion, in 2013 it's a little over 7 billion. That's a lot more people wanting to remember and it's up to us to make sure that they can.
