I am lucky to have the same last name. I understand there is a connection, but it has not been verified; but I still collect everything pertaining to this wonderful lady and her talent.
Her music is of that time period and must be enjoyed as such. It was brazing for its time, but so is the music of today. A hundred years down the line, the music of today will be cretiqued either way. Nora should be up there with Helen Hayes and other ladies who struggled for equality in the entertainment field. Maybe one day, they will achieve their highest honor.
