I began researching my ancestry in my teens. Since then I have learned a lot, such as, cite your sources. I have made an attempt to be as accurate as possible, as well as considerate of living families.
I am a native of Nevada County, my ancestors came to the area in the 1850's. My husbands family have been in Northern California much longer. We enjoy traipsing thru cemetery's wherever we travel. I find the different areas have different customs and rituals, which are very unique to the people of the community.
