We are now living in Littlefield, TX, but I am still involved with bringing dignity to those unfortunate enough to have died while in the "Care" of the Stockton State Asylum/Hospital located in Stockton, San Joaquin county, CA.
At this point (March 2006), we have yet to have the names of all those who were buried in one of the three known Asylum burial sites made public. The names have been extracted (as the law dictates) by the California Memorial Project volunteers, but they will not be made accessable to anyone to date (other than the project). You can request information from the California Archives, if the information is over 72 years old. For more information on the Stockton State Hospital, please contact Margie Campbell.
