I am interested in preserving photos and information about those who have crossed over into eternity. Although you may copy and keep in your own private collection any stories that I post, please do not publish them in books and such without my express written permission, or the permission of my descendants.

Some years ago, a person who identified himself/herself as a "Mattingly Family Historian" contacted my Great-Aunt Sallie Catherine Flanagan who possessed a family record which had been passed down through the generations. That so-called historian borrowed the record and has never returned it to her descendants to this very day. It is my hope to avoid such a "pretend-historian" turned thief in the future.

Permission is given to copy and use whatever photos I post on this site. I feel that photos of this kind can only be preserved for future generations when a large number of people have copies of them. In return, I ask that you only use them for similar purposes as they are being used for here. I do in fact claim any copyright permitted by law, mostly because I do not want myself or my extended family to be legally blocked from using them again at a later date. If you also have photos of those in my ancestral line, please email copies to me and also post them to the memorials as I have done.
