I came into this world in 1947 in a small town on Whidbey Island, Washington. I was the second daughter of John and Patricia Mitchell, my sister was Joanne. We lived at a hunting and fishing lodge owned by my parent's and my father's mother Elsie.
When I was 3 mos old my mother went to town with visiting relatives. She left my father and my uncle in charge of me. When she returned boy was she surprised! My dad and my uncle had my craddle wedged into the middle of a rowboat and we were fishing! Boy what an interesting family I came into!
Maybe now people can understand why I want to build and keep my family alive for my children and grandchildren to know!
I love doing the research and when I find another family member to list or link with my family tree it's great fun! I really get excited if I run into another family member I don't know of, on the internet, researching our mutual family tree!
