I retired about 11 years ago and when I found this website, while doing genealogy, I thought it would be an interesting way to spend some of my time. And, boy has it! I've gotten poison ivy, chiggers, walked corn and bean fields to get to some cemeteries, but the best part is meeting people and finding unexpected family links along the way. As a matter of fact, while looking in a local cemetery for Find-A-Grave, I found the graves of my great-great-grandfather and family. I never knew where they lived until then!
It's been a blast and I always look forward to it when the weather warms!
2014 update:
I haven't been doing anything on this website for the last year or so. My husband became very ill and passed in January of this year.
I think I'm ready to get back into taking pictures now. Maybe I can talk my sister into accompanying me!
