NOTICE TO HACKERS: A LOT OF MY MEMORIALS HAVE BEEN HACKED INTO. I AM INVESTIGATING INTO THIS MATTER. WHEN I FIND A MEMORIAL I KNOW THAT I CREATED AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE'S NAME ON MY OLD MEMORIAL THE MYSTERY IS OVER. YOU WILL BE REPORTED!!! Having said that, I am working on the Pannell, Cain, Love, Jordan, Helms, Mashburn, Reeves, Holtzclaw, Lanier, Johnson, Morrow, Hulsey, Burnley, Underwood, Shumate, Spruill and Austin famlies on my line. I am helping my wife do research on her Crabb, Cooper, Locklear, Williams, Peek, Black, Blackmon and Newman and related families at the present time. Nearly all the memorials are our two combined families. We are doing this totally for benevolent purposes and the benefit of our family, including extended family and find a grave. Both me and my wife inherited a lot of information from both sides of the family as they keep good records. My wife and I thank all our family members for keeping such good records and passing those family records to us. In addition, since receiving the information my wife and I have put a small fortune into the family research, traveled to county Courthouses throughout the state, ordered numerous death certicates, spent many hours looking at marriage records in Probate Courts all over the State and out of state, ordered confederate markers and placed them on our families graves, typed dozens of obituaries and submitted them to free genealogy sites on the web and typed an unknown amount of information on our genealogy tree, talked to many olders relatives that have long since passed on to their reward, sent out dozens on top of dozens of letters and mailed them to relatives all over the country and spent many hours looking at micofilm of old newspapers, gathered information at family reunions and countless other things to obtains the information we have and we started the family research in 1977 and have continued to sscrifice our money and time gathering and organizing this information on our family. We have made a more detailed list of families we are researching below. Our families have both been in Georgia for a long time and most moved to Georgia a long time ago. We have a lot of family from Polk County, Paulding County, Floyd County, Haralson County, Cherokee County, Rockdale County, Bartow County, Foryth County, Fulton County, Pike County, Stevens County, Dawson County, Newton County, Cobb County, and many other Counties in Georgia too numerous to mention. We both have a lot of family that moved to Louisianna,Texas, Alabama, Mississippi.
My branch of the Pannell was in Georgia in while it was an English colony in the late 1700s. My direct line lived in Wilkes County, Georgia and my early ancestores moved to Loftus Heights, Wilkinson County, Mississippi and then to Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi and some descendants move to New Orleans, Louisianna. But my direct line of descendants moved to Old Campbell County, Georgia, and to Forsth County, Georgia and then to Milton County, and Cherokee and other Georgia counties. I am researching Josephus (Joseph S.) Pannell, who married Lydia "Liddy" Seagers (or Segers) who are my great, great grandparents.
Concerning the Crabb family, my wife's line of descent, they came to Columbia County, GA before the turn of the century, then moved to Henry, Putnam, and then settled in Polk Co, Ga, where they have a long history. My wife's branch is the Asa Crabb branch thru his second wife, Phereby Tolar (Toler or Foler) Crabb. They had one son: William Darwin "Billy" Crabb. There are only two Revolutonary War soldiers buried in Polk Co., and Asa Crabb is one of them. John C. Crabb had the first store in Polk Co, Ga and was Capt of Co A, 1st GA CAV REG, CSA and commanding officer. He rode with Brid Gen Nathan Bedford Forrest. My wife is a member of the DAR.
The Cooper family settled in the Paulding, Polk and Haralson, Co., Georgia areas. They married into my wife's line of descent. I am researching the George Washington Cooper family line. Also, I am researching the White family, who are related by marriage, to wit: The W. Barnett White branch [Barnett White married Jane E. Wethington. My wife's grandfather is Alexander Steven "Sandy" Cooper. My wife's family includes: Crabb, Crabbe, Wilson, Elliott, Wilson, Baines, Jones, Barber, Rudeseal, Coffman, Arnold, Smith, Barnes, Yarbrough, White, Weethington, Cooper, Newman, Hooper, Jinks, Gwinn, Black, Peek, Blackmon, Tolar (Toler) (Foler), York, Cook, Mitchell, Barnes, Adams, Locklear, Mayo, Harrison, Blackburn, Early, Weatherly, Maddox, Bishop, Voyles, Kinsey to name a few.
The Newman family married into the Cooper family. I am researching the Samuel Newman branch. My wife's line of descent from there is: Jesse G. Newman > Charles Wesley Newman > James Henry Marcus Newman (his dauther, Jerusha Estell Newman, married Alexander Steven Cooper). They settled into the Paulding, Haralson and Polk Co., Georgia area. We are both happy that anyone is interested in our family however we do ask you to maintain any memorials that you put up and that you take suggestions as to corrections that we make in a courteous manner. If you do not intend to manage the memorials of our family you created and you refuse to take friendly suggestions that you transfer the memorials to us and we will maintain them. In the last 2 or 3 years we have learned that some people aren't kind. There is no need for sending us unkind emails and this has always come from individuals that are high contributors i.e. 2,000 plus. We understand that you have a lot of memorials to msnage but that does not excuse rudiness in your communications to others. And if you have too many memorials to manage as some of you reply back, that is a good reason to transfer management to some family member who will manage the memorial. Certainly, I would never delete a memorial that is transferred to me.
