I've been a genealogist since I was old enough to read headstones while accompanying my genealogist grandmother on her cemetery traipses. Born in Maine in 1964. My mother's side is colonial New England from the 1600s; my paternal side is 1900's Irish immigration by way of Canada.
in 2012 a DNA test revealed that half my tree at Ancestry was incorrect so I've spent the last decade discovering a branch that matches my biological identity. I still maintain my adoptive father's branch because those are still my people. I'm two parts nature; one part nurture. A three branch tree.
