On memorials that I have requested to be changed, if you question my data, please check out the Note I have added to the request. If you still feel you need more proof, please send me a message and tell me specifically what you need.

I want all of the memorials I manage to be accurate. When I receive suggested edits, I verify each data element that is suggested before I accept it. If I cannot verify your data, and I either can't notify you (you have the 'message' option disabled) or I don't have enough time to devote to it at that time, I will decline the update. I used to wait until just before the default auto-accept of 30 days, but Find A Grave has recently been accepting edits well before the 30 days is up.

The solution to that issue is for you to add your source for your request to the "Notes" block at the bottom of the edit page just above the "Contact Manager" button. If you state that you found the information on Ancestry.com, you need to tell me the source (i.e. - U.S., Social Security Death Index, 1935-2014). Ancestry.com has a LOT of records and also user-submitted family trees, which, by the way, are not valid sources.

If I manage a memorial for someone that you would like to maintain, please contact me via the "edit" option on that specific memorial and ask for the transfer. I can transfer the memorial to your account and will do so if asked unless they are closely related to me or a direct line ancestor of mine.

If I have posted an image of a headstone to a memorial and you have a much higher resolution image, please add yours and LET ME KNOW so that I can remove my image. Many of the images I have added were done back when Find A Grave had a much lower limit on the size of the image and I had a cheaper digital camera!

If I have added an image to a memorial that you manage and that memorial has reached the maximum number of images, please contact me if you would like to request that I remove the one I added. I am more than happy to consider the request.
