Becky Jacobs graduated from Elgin High School. 9 generations of my family is buried in the Prospect Cemetery. (Live in Abilene, TX since 1977).

**I started this project in 2006 copying old records with the township trustee permission and Ralph Issler and his son Jim. I have spend 1000's of hrs working on this. Adding names, obits, connecting families. 6 of my high school classmates helped me take pictures for 4 straight days of all of the graves. Unfortunately there is a person out there that has posted exact pictures 10 years or more later just want the high number count I guess. I truly wish she would work on some of her projects so there were not so many mistakes in those.

I have worked on genealogy research for 50 years and just completed my 29th book. The 1st book I published "The Scrapbook of Prospect Ohio Pioneers" in 1988 from clippings from my Great Grandmother Rebecca Jane Bevis Hedges of whom I was named. My dad, Carl L. Jacobs was a Prospect township trustee. My great grandfather Stephen Bingham McWherter was the Sexton at the cemetery from 1921 until his death in 1923.I have checked these records against death and census records. Over 8500 obits from my cousin Sarah Longnecker Reichardt's scrapbooks My dad, Carl also served as a trustee at the York Cemetery in Union County, Ohio.

I am doing all of this to honor my Dad Carl LeMoyne Jacobs. Remembering 9 generations of my family buried here.

I want to leave a legacy for my hometown that I loved and the many relatives & friends that share this final resting place.
