I was bitten by the genealogy bug in the early 1990's. The majority of my research has been on these families (from Kentucky, Ohio, Idaho, Germany & Hungary): Hensley/ Hencley, Blevins, Murphy, Shampton/ Shomkutyan, Gans, Soward, and Wallingford.
