Robert A Beale, is the son of Robert Lee Beale & Wilma Clorine Browne of St Johns Township, NC. He attended UNC at Chapel Hill and is a graduate of the University of Maryland, University College, (A.A. & B.S.), and The Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison class of 1977. He served for several years on the faculty of the School of Banking of the South at LSU, Baton Rouge, LA. He is a retired National Bank Examiner for the U S Treasury Department agency's Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and worked as a prime contractor after retiring, serving the Treasury's bank regulatory agency for forty-four years. During the early Vietman War, he served in electronic encyphering equipment maintenance at HQ USAF in The Pentagon before beginning a forty-four year career in bank regulatory oversight. Before being commissioned as a federal bank examiner, he worked for First Virginia Bankshares Corp as an Asst Auditor. Retired, he lives in Reston, VA with his wife Linda E. Tonks. They have one daughter, Sara E.
