I live in St Paul, MN but my parents were born in South Dakota; my mother Bonnie LaChance was born in Turton and my father, Darrel Rainford, near Doland.
I take photos when I drive my mother to South Dakota for events or when I travel, hunting ancestors in Europe. Most of the biographical info is from my family tree which is public on Ancestry.
I'm a history buff, interested in immigration and settlement patterns. I visited the villages in Rhineland and the Czech Republic where my GGGrandparents originated.
