I have been doing genealogy for about 20 years and use FindAGrave for clues for my research. A group of Roop and related famiiies have a website at myfamily.com and we have collected an amazing number of tombstone pictures from all over the country. I thought sharing those photos and the obits that we have also collected might help someone else in their research. Finding a new cousin or two would be a great bonus!
I am a retired gymnastics club owner, have five grandchildren and enjoy scapbooking and gardening when I'm not searching the web for more information on my many family lines. My husband's family is from north Louisiana, my mother's family is from an area about 30 miles from where I live, but my dad's family is from Decatur, Adams Co, IN, so the internet has been a major investigative tool.
