I am a direct decendent of William Capling and Barbara (Wildfong) Capling who immigrated to Canada and then the United States from England in the mid 1800's. Recent (August 2010) DNA tests on my paternal line confirm the Caplin's British Isles ancestry and English ethnicity (for the pragmatism). Mom's side of the Family (Coughlin, Evans, McCormick) provides the Irish (the passion). . .a potent combination! I am the last of James Capling (1846-1914) and Laura Platt's line. I am looking for any information on James Capling and his activities during his last years in Wolverine, Michigan during the time period of aprox. 1895 - 1900.
