I was born and raised in Walworth County Wisconsin. I gained an interest in cemeteries early in life from attending Memorial Day services at Oakwood Cemetery in Sharon, Wisconsin. I was amazed at all the lives, and the stories they represented. This interest was enhanced when my eighth grade teacher, Bill Grieg, required us to study the history of Sharon.
I was a church-planting missionary in the fundamental, independent, Baptist field for over twenty years until health sidelined my wife and me. We now live in Watauga, Texas to be near our two daughters and their six children. I have always been interested in local history, and enjoy strolling cemeteries to discover new stories. I look forward to doing so until the Lord calls me Home!
