I was born in Rockville Centre, Long Island, NY May 18th, 1961. I first became involved with F.A.G after I re interred my late mother Joan T. McGill-Heed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY last year. I am not able to get there as I like, due to the fact that I live in RI, so I find this to be the "Next Best Thing". Eventually, I registered other family members on the Memorial Pages.(Yes, I leave flowers and notes for my Mom fairly regularly).
I currently live in New Bedford, MA.
I am greatly interested in cemeteries after I had fought tirelessly against the city of Providence RI reg. North Burial Ground Cemetery, and the total lack of perpetual care(and the trust fund to do it with). This was my driving force to have Mom in a Cemetery where the dead are treated with Dignity and Respect: not mistreated and desecrated as she was prior to her move.
