Bio
Bernadette is a third generation native of Chilean-Irish descent, who was born in San Francisco, attended Mercy High School, City College, San Francisco State University and Sonoma State University. She received an MA in Education in 1984 from Sonoma State.
After living for several years in Marin County, Bernadette then moved to Hamburg, Germany in 1981, where she taught English and German to people of many nationalities at international firms such as Deutsche Lufthansa, Hyundai, KPMG, and Gruner-Jahr Publishing House.
Having returned to California in March 2006, Bernadette and her family - daughter Diana, four cats and two hamsters - are now living in the Crystal Springs area where she feeds the wildlife, teaches ESL, does genealogical research, and engages in writing and illustrating children's books.
