Genealogy has been a hobby of mine since 8th grade. My family on my father's side is from Cincinnati, OH and on my mother's side is from Ellwood City, PA. Family names on my father's side are: Bader, Quell, Diekman, Ritchie, Stuntz, Moore. Family names on my Mother's side are: Wilson, Paland, Munnell, Patterson, VanGorder, Frew, Elliott,Beamer.
My husband's family is currently from Washington, PA. His father's family names are Stavovy (also spelled Stawowy), Gawlak, Filek, Chwala; His mother family names are Laurine, Michalek, Yuvan.
I have plenty of family members to keep me busy and active. Since 1975 I have been member of the National Pike Chapter, DAR - joining on Jacob VanGorder. My vocation was librarian - three years part-time parochial H.S. librarian, five years as public librarian director, and nineteen years as Assistant Law Librarian at Washington County Law Library. I have been retired since March 2, 2012. Retirement is great!
