Please feel free to add public record death certificates to my memorials. Not only do these records contain primary information regarding the decedent's date and place of death, they may also provide valuable clues to family history searchers regarding next of kin and parents of the deceased. Further, marriage certificates added to the memorials can support the identification of the decedent and his/her spouse and prevent inaccurate links. Other documents can support the authenticity of the information provided.

I attempt to verify edits. Please do not guess at the place of birth or death. People often were not born nor died where they lived. To ensure the accuracy and integrity of the memorials, I only make changes that can be supported by reliable records or sources.

On January 2022, FindaGrave updated its transfer guidelines as follows: "Memorials are transferred for relatives with these close relationships: child, spouse/partner, sibling, parent, grandchild, great-grandchild, grandparent, great-grandparent, niece/nephew, great niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, great aunt/uncle, or first cousin. This would include adoptive, step, and in-law versions of these relationships." This change supports my belief that relatives or close friends should be caretakers of the memorials whenever possible.
