I have had a life-long interest in genealogy and have been actively researching for more than 70 years.

I grew up in the northern Maine town of Caribou and, after graduation from the University of Maine, enjoyed a 26 year Army career in Aviation and Special Operations.

Betty (LUKE) and I married at Fort Rucker, Alabama and served in Germany, Korea, and at numerous U.S. posts. Additionally, I served in Vietnam and numerous short tours to the Middle East, Central and South America and the Horn of Africa.

Our son, Chris was born during an assignment to Germany and daughter Shari was born during our Korean assignment.

Retiring from the service in 1990; I was then employed in the homebuilding business as General Manager for a consortium of three homebuilding companies a remodeling company and a home rental company before retiring in 2008.
