I lost my beloved husband, Dennis, on April 28th, 2011 just one day after his 62nd birthday. He had had a double lung transplant on April 23rd, 2010 which went very well. But the immunosuppressive drugs left him open to some really rare diseases, the last one being Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy ... no treatment ... no cure. I miss him! For now, I'm unable to take any photo requests but I hope to be able to in the future.

I'm a confessed cemetery-a-holic! When living in Connecticut we spent many weekends as a family walking the ancient burial yards there! I wish we had known back then of all the extended family that are buried in the Groton/New London area.
Ireland's burial grounds absolutely intrigued me and I want to go back! We have discovered many interesting cemeteries here in Minnesota too but they're not as ancient. ;)My Great Grandfather, William Fuller Jewson, was the superintendent of the Glenwood Cemetery in Mankato, Minnesota for over 40 years. He also fought in the Civil War for the South ...Co L 1st Regiment South Carolina Volunteer Infantry. They saw a great deal of action and, he ended up as a POW ... something I only recently learned. I'm searching for more information on that!
I've been doing genealogical research for 25 years now. For my family, I'm tracing all four branches ... both of my parents and both of my husband's parents. Countries include Germany, Prussia, England, Ireland, Scotland, Australia and the US. Here in the States, we seem to be mainly focused in Minnesota and Wisconsin and the entire East Coast, especially the Northern half. I've been able to trace some of the family back to the 1600's. We've been watching Who Do You Think You Are? and were very excited to find OUR Elwells on one of the shows ... Sarah Jessica Parkers. It confirmed what I'd found and filled in a few holes. :)
Names being researched: Keehn, Kuehn, Elwell, Tallmadge, Herbert, Schlingermann, Jewson, Conrad, Goldbeck, Giltner, Kaveleske, Miller, Silbernagle/Silbernagel/Silvernagle/Silvernagel, Medlicott and a host of others with various spellings! :)
