I wanted to do our family genealogy as a hobby when I retired form the work society. Didn't know a thing about it, but it sounded interesting. I bought my first computer in 1999, subscribed to Ancestry.com and I was on my way. No lessons, just hit & miss.
Now, I'm a Genealogy Addict! Sometimes, I forget who's relative I'm researching. In the process of researching my relative, I run across somebody interesting and take off in that direction. But I love it!
