Hello! I have become interested in my family's genealogy mainly due to the influence of my Aunt Mary Ellen (my dad's sister) who supplied me with a framework of information about our family heritage. She was keenly interested, in part, because both sides of her family, Sanderson and Jenisch, lived on adjacent property in Lewis County, Washington and are considered to be pioneer families in Washington state. There were two marriages between the Sandersons and Jenisches which firmly rooted the families in the state. Other family names from the next generation in Chehalis include; Butler, Thompson, Oppe, and Riedle. These families are my blood relatives as well and are being researched and added as my time and resources allow.
I would like to represent each family member who has passed on with an on-line memorial such as on Find-A-Grave. I am also making progress with my mom's side (Hugill and Vaughan)and am having some success, although the families came to Washington state (from England and Montana respectively) at a little later time, and were not nearly as proliphic! I am also very much interested in being able to personally manage these memorials as I am able to make much more extensive contributions than is someone who who knows nothing about each person. For this reason I may ask for memorial transfers. There are lots of gaps that I am unable to, or don't find the time to fill in, so I am asking all my family members and friends of the family to please post photos or other helpful aritcles, or you can just forward them to me and I will post them when I am able to.
I do appreciate the work that so many have done for FAG since this makes it much easier for everyone. Many of us have no idea where our deceased family members are buried and this is a useful tool to explore our past and to pass the information to future generations.
