Greetings! I've been the family genealogist for many years now. My paternal grandfather was orphaned at a young age, and he knew almost nothing of his family history. It's been especially challenging researching that branch of the family, although I have found a cousin in that branch and we've been pooling our efforts. We're still stuck at my great great grandfather's generation. Apparently the records were destroyed by fire, so it's tough going.
