Bio
Born in Glasgow, Scotland and, after living in various locations the length and breadth of Scotland, now returned to living in retirement in the City of Glasgow.
My father was born in Limerick, Ireland although the Dixon side of the family comes from north-east England. His mother's name was Black which, although her father was born in Dublin, originates from Lincolnshire in England. The main Irish name in the family appears to be Elley.
My mother's maiden name was Melville, with that side of the family originating from Fife. Her mother's name was Rockell which originates from the Wycombe area of Buckinghamshire, England.
My lovely wife Mari originates from Muirkirk in Ayrshire. Her father was born in Muirkirk but his family originated from Cumbria, England. Mari's mother's maiden name is Gray with her family originating from New Cumnock, Ayrshire.
