The George & Lee Baldwin family lived on a farm near Saltillo, Post Office Tupelo, Lee Co., Mississippi. They made two trips to the Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory. Their first child Willie Mae Baldwin was born at Kennady, Indian Territory in 1886. They got homesick and returned to their home in Mississippi where Mary was born in 1888 and Claud, my grandfather, was born in 1891. They made a second trip to Indian Territory where Earnie was born at Kennady in 1894. The rest of their children were born at Kennady. Check the 1900 census which shows where these children were born. Claud Baldwin said he remembers their second trip in a covered wagon.
