I am a genealogist who has been researching my and my husband John's families for several years and have learned a LOT along the way. I have an active sleuth gene and many gentle ancestoral spirits that keep pushing me along in my journey and encourage the scaling of many brick walls.
My whole family settled in the Clinton County, Iowa to the Rock Island County, Illinois area. They came from Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland,and New York/Connecticut(from England)).
John's family came from Germany to Pennsylvania(1740)and then to Virginia and Tennessee. North Carolina was home to the other half of his family coming from Ireland, Scotland and Wales?, and England...he too has learned a LOT!
