When my father died in 1992 I got interested in genealogy. After 12 yrs of research I finally found the link for my Cobb line. My Atkinson line had to be abandoned due to apparent incest which resulted in my grandfather's birth. But 12 yrs of Cobb research got me pretty much addicted to working on the surname.
Now we have a Cobb DNA project that has been extremely helpful in identifying the family lines of many people. Others still languish in limbo because we've not had males tested that they match. It is a fun and interesting project.
Now I'm totally addicted to Cobb research and maintain a very large database which I add to weekly with my research. Nope, would not write a book for anything... it would immediately be found to be incorrect... my descendants would never be able to live down the shame.. LOL
