I'm an amateur genealogist working on the following families:

John1 Ashmore, Immigrant from England on the first ships (Ark & Dove) to Maryland in 1634. Ashmore's kept moving south in the 1700's through the Carolinas, Georgia in the 1800's, ending up in Alabama and Texas in the 1900's.

NOTE: I have taken the Ancestry DNA test and I am willing to share my results with any other Ashmores.

Mulloy: Ire VA MS

Reed: AL

Hopkins: Eng 1630's RI, 1800 NY, 1860 IA

Haddox: Eng 1600's, VA, OH, IA

I finally found John Hopkins b @ 1800 NY as the father of William Henry Hopkins b 1838 Erie Co., NY. Other possible siblings of William Henry are Cyrus, Richard, John, Elizabeth, Hetta and others. So the search continues for his mother. AND now I need the parents of John Hopkins! Does it ever end?

I'm looking for the parents of William Henry Hopkins b1838 Springville, Erie Co., NY. He married in 1864 in Jackson Co., IA Catherine "Kate" Bryant Moore b1846 Schenectady, the adopted daughter of George & Adelia Jane (Horton) Moore of Luzerne, Warren Co., NY and later Nevada, Story Co., IA. William died 1911 in Odebolt, Sac Co., IA. Kate in 1924. This could be a RI Gov Stephen Hopkins 1707-1785, signer of the Declaration of Independence line. Any help greatly appreciated!!
