Born in Burbank California, fermented in the Napa Valley until I was 18 and entered the Air Force. Got out after 12 years and added to my list of jobs/occupations. I was "Retired" from USAA in 2003 as an Instructional Systems Developer (Trained programmers and users). Since then I've gone on to remodeling work with special emphasis on handicap problem solutions
I got into Genealogy via my father-in-law who had gathered a whole file cabinet of information on his extended family, but didn't own a computer. Spent the next 14 years working with him, eventually had a tree with more than 5K names, and found his (and my wife's) line goes back to the Mayflower.
The primary project I've taken on is to do as many memorials and pictures as I can of San Fernando Cemetery III, Sections: #3, #22, and #23. At this point I've completed pictures and or memorials of almost every grave site in Section 3W, 23,& 5. If someone wants a picture from that cemetery they need to contact the cemetery and get the Section and Plot information. With over 38,000 interments there is no way to find the needle without that information. Even with it, many of the sites do not have stones, and there are quite a few where stones are missing/gone, but I'm willing to try.
If you find I've created a memorial for someone you're researching, I'm willing to supply a high resolution copy of the picture, and in most cases I can also supply a Google-Earth place mark that leads you to within a few feet of the marker(s). It's really neat to look down from the satellite image and be able to make out the stone itself.
