I have been building a virtual family cemetery for years. It has taken me many hours of research to bring my family together. I am reticent to separate my family members from the rest of their family. I make every attempt to search for duplicate memorials before adding a family member. If you believe I have duplicated your memorial let us compare birth or death certificate, obituary, and/or you may verify your relationship is closer than mine. I will likely know you. Should I find a possible duplicate memorial I will contact the other owner contributor directly and ask that the owner of the possible duplicate memorial do the same directly. I look forward to working with you to assure souls are united with their families and remembered.

I trust most contributors are altruistically motivated, are very kind, and remain open to transfer their memorials to a family member if they have no relationship to the person they submitted to Find A Grave. Most contributors, like me, ask themselves what the person they submitted would want if they could choose. Presumably we all want our family members' memorials with someone related who will preserve, enhance, and maintain their memorials effectively. My admiration and appreciation is extended to Find A Grave and the many contributors who sincerely care about uniting precious souls with their families. Thank you all for contributing your time.
