I was born and raised in Mercer County, Ohio. I graduated from Rockford High School, class of 1955. I married Donnie Springer in 1959 and we are the parents of one daughter, Deborah Lynn (Springer) Keesee. She married Louis Messervy and gave us a beautiful granddaughter, Nicole Lynn Messervy. After the death of Louis, Debbie married Michael Shane Keesee. Debbie, Michael and Nicole live in Port Orange, Fl.
We moved to Florida, November, 1980. My husband retired from United Space Alliance, June, 1997. He met many astronauts while working for the space program. He was lead quality control when he retired.
I retired from banking, May, 1997, as branch manager, lending and operations officer.
We have enjoyed our retirement years, traveling with our granddaughter for a month each summer. Nicole attended Daytona State College, where she received a two-year degree in photograpy. She then transferred to Stetson University in Deland. In the Spring of 2013, Nicole received her bachelor of science degree in history and antropology. In the summer of 2012, Nicole did her history residency at the Atlanta History Center. She would like to find a permanent job there but needs to wait until there is an opening or there or anyplace else. For now, she is working a full-time job and two part-time jobs.
My husband & I both have physical limitations, so we no longer travel as much as we have in the past.
I became interested in genealogy in 2006. Another genealogy friend told me about Find A Grave website. I've found much info on this website. I enjoy adding memorials of family members and/or friends to the website. I like to make sure the info added is correct, so if anything I have added isn't correct, please contact me. I will gladly make any necessary changes. Contact me through the edit tab and I will respond.
