I am the ggrandson of Thomas P. Nelms and grandson of Newman Estus Nelms and son of Cecil Otto Nelms. I first got interested in researching the Nelms Family Tree back about 1990 while visiting cousin Creed Wesley Nelms and Frances Nelms Nall in Brookland. On visit back to NE Arkansas I used to take my mom out to Pine Log Cemetery to visit my dad's gravesite. It was hard not to notice all of the grave markers with the name Nelms etched on them. And while I had a copy of the Pine Log Cemetery Burial Map that listed all the the family, I found out about the "Find-a-Grave" website and my journey began in effort to list all of the family with as many photos that I could gather.
I was born and raised in the Lester Community, not to far from Brookland, left home after High School, worked for Delta Air Lines for 32 years, married to a Scotish Lass that I met while working in London from 1978-1980. We have one son and two granddaughters and presently reside in Monroe, GA.
