My name is Shannon . Home to me is Mississippi. I live in Tennessee, but my heart is in Mississippi.

I have a Masters Degree in Business Education and have taught in high schools and junior colleges. For genealogy education, I completed the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Consultant Genealogist courseI have 17 proven American Revolutionary War Patriot Ancestors, as a result of how comprehensive their training was. I have also completed the BYU South Eastern United States genealogy course. My research focus is the Southeast United States, mostly Mississippi.

I have photographed over 5000 funeral home records. I published the Colonial Funeral Home Records 1913-1915, Marion County, Mississippi. The first volume can be found in the DAR Library in Washington, DC. If you have questions about the Colonial Funeral Home Records, just ask. I am not doing this to make money. I have been photographing tombstones for longer than Find a Grave has existed, but do not intend to compete with, or duplicate work other people are now doing or have done. I am happy so many people are participating in documenting cemeteries.
