Thru my love of researching genealogy, I became involved in this project. I've been working on my own family history since 1993. Being an African American, I've found it hard trying to locate historical records so I wanted to provide information that may help others find their ancestors.

I feel that it has to start somewhere. I decided to start recording from graves, funeral notices, newsaper clippings, and other sources. It's a great way to spend my spare time and if my research will help others find ancestors they are searching for, it's a win-win situation for all of us.
