I have been interested in family history for over 50 years and doing genealogical research and documentation since 2001. I live in Lane County, Oregon. Contact me if I can be of help in this geographic area. I am willing to pull obituraries or other research.
One of my maternal great grandmothers lived to be 106 years old and was a great historian. I can remember as a child sitting next to her rocking chair listening to stories about her life or an historical event that she witnessed. She passed away in 1976 without a hint of dementia. In 1969 my mother interviewed her over a two day period and she captured it all on the old reel to reel tapes. I took the tapes to a sound studio and had them transferred to CD. What a family treasure!
I have been blessed by so many who have helped me in my quest to discover more about my family. Joining Find A Grave as a photo volunteer is one way of giving back to the genealogical community for the blessings that I have received.
