Our parents are Orville G and Lauretta B (Phillips) Sanders and so our ancestors are the Sanders and Phillips. My sister has worked on our family history since 1970. Our grandmother, Ida May (Brunner)(Mrs. Wm.H.)Phillips. and her sister-in-law, Grace (Phillips) Nichols, were given credit for research in the forward part of the book "History of Richard and Francina (Hart) Phillips and their Descendants", compiled by Henry Hackenbrach, published l951.
My sister has researched the Sanders side for years.
"My grandmother, Lillie (McQuiston) Sanders left me a box of pictures and letters from her mother, Emma Phillips and father Joseph McQuiston. Emma"s dad was Andrew J Phillips (1844-1909), a civil war solder, and his wife was Helen Marr McKesson (1845-1882)."
She has a book about the McQuiston's, with our family line from Pennsylvania and North Carolina - Robert, Thomas, and James McQuiston.
She also has a letter from our grandfather, Grady B. Sanders, listing his family members, as well as many other photos, newspaper clippings, etc.
