As a life-long resident of Northeast Ohio (east of Cleveland), I am quite savvy with local records although my work schedule allows very little to help others with research. However, you are hitting a brickwall with research in this region, I may be able to help you or at minimum, point you in the right direction. I am half Slovenian, then English, Irish, Scottish, German, and old colonial. My colonial lines are exclusively out of the Northeastern Colonies and these lines primarily settled in mid & western New York (Chautauqua County) before arriving in Geauga County Ohio circa 1815-1820.
