I started researching my family tree around 2005, and it has been (and continues to be) an exciting and frustrating experience! Since my parents left me virtually no information about my ancestors, I want to make sure that my children are left with much more. Although I live in Columbia, SC, most of my family comes from Sumter and Clarendon counties in SC.

My husband's family is primarily from Orangeburg and Clarendon counties in SC. Those names include BURNETTE, HUTTO, DANTZLER, SHULER; EVANS, BUDDIN, ROBISON/ROBINSON.
