My interests in genealogy and preserving the past were sparked by the discovery that my ancestors have been in this great country since before the war for independence; I am awed by, and grateful to, the Davenports, Croops, Nevels, Pollocks, and all their kin who came before me. Obviously, I would not be here but for them and their sacrifices . . . and, likely, neither would you!
