Born and raised in Contra Costa County, California, my dad was raised locally in Vallejo, while my mom moved about the country with her family. From both my dad and my maternal grandfather, I inherited an enduring interest in family history, and love nothing better than an afternoon tramping the cemetery or hunting through microfilms in the archives. As a young bride, I began researching my husband's family, particularly his mother's family, and never stopped. With my own roots in California, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Missouri, as well as Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, and my husband's Illinois, Iowa, New Hampshire, Germany, Ireland, England and Sweden roots, it's been a journey of discovery! We moved to the Boise, Idaho area in 2017 and I retired in 2022, giving me more time to spend in happy research!
