I am Cassie Patterson, obviously :-) . My mother, stepmother, and I surveyed this cemetery because this church is the home church of both my mother and father, and their parents. I am the Grand-daughter of Frank L.Box, and Emma "Lessie" Morris Box. I am also the Grand-daughter of Travis Benjamin (Bennie) Patterson, and Nettie (Net) Hale Patterson. They were charter members of Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. They helped to build the present church when it moved from its original location. My father William F. Patterson and my mother Patricia Ann Box were the first couple married in the new church building. My mother was the church pianist for many years until she and my father divorced. She then went on to a new church and continued to play for southern gospel quartets as she had since before I was born. She was with the Crusaders, and the Evangelaires until she retired from playing for groups. Thought they were all charter members only my Paternal grand-parents are buried in this cemetery as well as my beloved Uncle Joel Gowens. My maternal grand-parents are at Crestwood. My mother still felt it was her duty to help survey this cemetery and that is how it got online and I became the person administering it. Special thanks to Sherry Pitts for her photography.
