Originally from Oklahoma, I moved to rural Southeast Iowa after serving 22 years in the US Navy and retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer (CWO). I appreciate being back in a smaller tight-knit, friendly community. I enjoy visiting the countryside cemeteries to 1) get to know the area; 2) learn about the region's history and pioneer families; and 3) give back to this wonderful community. (Since I am working on my extended family, I feel I should add that while my mother's side is from rural Oklahoma, my father's side is from Long Island, New York.)

Any photos I post are yours for the sharing. I enjoy photography and helping people connect to their ancestors/extended family. My personal interests include adventure, history, genealogy, travel, and exploration (except where there's poison ivy).
