I've just finished going back through the La Garita Cemetery and updating some of those pages. I decided I should take a few minutes to pay tribute to a gentleman who spent many hours researching the Hispanic grave sites in Rio Grande and Saguache Counties (and maybe others as well). His ID on FAG was "Wild for Family." His name was Ed Trujillo. He is no longer active, apparently, so I have assumed management of many of his pages. I corresponded with him a few times and he helped me track down my sister-in-law's ancestors. I never had the pleasure of meeting Ed in person, but I just want to say thank you to him and to thank all of those who volunteer their time so that those who have passed this way before us can be remembered and recognized for their contributions. I believe that each person who passes this way before us leaves behind a little of themselves and we can learn much from their legacy. There are plenty of famous people, but we common folks all have a story to share too and my heartfelt thanks to Ed Trujillo for giving us an opportunity to know some of those stories. pwc
