Born and raised in New England. Fascinated in old burying grounds as a youngster. I have been involved in genealogy research for over 40 years.
Currently live on Dataw Island, SC and have been deeply involved in the Dataw Historic Foundation. I am a past President and currently am the Historic Chairman. The Sams Family Cemetery is a part of the Sams Plantation Complex Tabby Ruins, located on Dataw Island, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
