My Grammie loved visiting cemeteries. Her favorites were the old, semi-abandoned cemeteries. We would drive by ones out in the desert or the plains, and Grammie would say, "We'd better stop and visit those folks who don't get out too much." We would wander through the graves, Grammie would have a chat with those folks who don't get out too much, and we would be on our way. Those people are gone, but not forgotten. I'm glad that Find A Grave is so popular, along with local historical societies and free genealogy sites like USGenWeb. Thanks to them, we can all visit "those folks who don't get out too much," and remember them. They may be strangers, they may be family, but they are not forgotten.

If anyone wishes to use any of my photos on genealogy websites or for other purposes, I do not mind as long as you are not charging anyone for them! I want family and friends to be able to see these photos, especially the actual photographs of the people. Too often only one person in the family gets the photos, and the rest of the family, decades later, are left wondering as to what their ancestors and relatives may have looked like. Please, share your photos, post them on free sites. You never know just how happy you might make a distant relative who sees a resemblance between that person and them or their children!
