I'm just a person with a great interest in genealogy and history. I enjoy walking through cemeteries and reading the headstones. I really hate seeing a cemetery in bad shape, forgotten about, headstones laying on the ground, and weeds and grass very high.
My father told me a few times when I was young, "everyone should know their history"........well, I took that to heart. I grew up watching him read, among other topics, historical books on the Civil War, and many, many , many westerns.
As well as being a reenactor in the 58th Va. Infantry, I am an active member of the Summers-Koontz Camp, Sons of Confederate Veterans in Luray, Va., as well as an active member of "The Immortal 600", Military Order of the Stars and Bars.
