I have always been fascinated by history. Especially American war history. The story of the people involved and the epic struggles were always of particular interest to me. Many years ago while researching those people in my family tree I stumbled upon Find A Grave and what it meant to the people who used it. I was hooked. And the fact that it is free to use totally impressed me. I became a volunteer and have enjoyed every single minute. I want to thank the people who helped me while I was looking for relatives. So now I give back. It always gives me a great feeling to know that someone found a relative and saw the grave on Find A Grave because of what I posted. Your truly WELCOME.

I'm kind of a rogue when it comes to the memorials I post or ones I find information and request edits. I believe that any and all info about the person should be documented on their page. No matter how wonderful the person was or how evil. To smooth over the details of people's histories is not right because the lessons must be preserved and learned from. The same goes for the war heroes of the past. All the details about them and their lives must be public knowledge and celebrated . The fact they felt so strongly to give up time in the prime of their lives to risk their lives to defend our country is just amazing. I feel a kindred spirit with all of them because I too served in the military. But I was lucky to serve during peacetime.

Concerning transfers of memorials. I will gladly transfer any memorial to you that you can improve with life details of the person. So if you are a family member like a distant cousin of just a friend of the family I will happily transfer to you. Just as long as you update that memorial and make it a wealth of information for future people to research and know what the person was like.
